1-Day Build and Sgraffito a Vase Workshop

Sgraffito derives from the Italian word meaning 'to scratch'. It is a technique where potters apply coloured slip (wet clay) to their pot and once dried, scratch away a design to expose the natural surface beneath!  This workshop is a chance to spend the morning hand building your own vase - break 30 minutes for lunch - and then come back to finish the piece using the Sgraffito method.  This is a full but fun day in the studio and is suitable for beginners or the more experienced potter!
